QUADRANT 1200
With the QUADRANT 1200, CLAAS succeed in breaking into the market for large square bales. The bales have a cross-section of 1.20 m in width, and 70 cm in height. With this bale form, trucks and storage areas are optimally utilised.
1992
ROTO-CUT
By installing a chopping rotor, CLAAS made the ROLLANT silage-capable. Even with other crops, the chopping rotor with 14 knives ensures a higher bale density and easier breakup of the bales.
1994
VARIANT
Different bale diameters, adapted to the crop and the purpose of use, are made possible by the VARIANT presented in 1994. However, this adaptation capability is not possible with steel rollers. The VARIANT works with high-strength baler belts.
1998
MPS baling system
A further step to press more and more material into the bales was the MPS baling system. MPS stands for Maximum Pressure System. The three top compression rollers are rotatably mounted in a segment. If the bale chamber is empty, they project into the bale chamber. As the bales become larger, they press against strong springs into the limit position. In this way, the bale is firmly compressed right from the start.
2000
UNIWRAP
Meanwhile, the bale silage was introduced via introduction of bale wrappers. With the ROLLANT 250 RC UNIWRAP, CLAAS offers a baling/wrapping combination that combines the two work processes into a single one. This combination brought a significant increase in performance.
2002
250,000th CLAAS baler
In 2001, the 250,000th CLAAS baler was delivered. The line of balers was continually added to and expanded, and the machines equipped with new features. The VARIANT 260/260 RC and 280/280 RC were introduced. The ROLLANT 255 RC and 240 came onto the market. The square bale balers QUADRANT 2100/2100 RC were put out into the field.
